Boschkloof Epilogue Syrah, the pinnacle of South African fine wine
The Boschkloof Epilogue Syrah is firmly established as one of the finest expressions of Stellenbosch Syrah.
After his trailblazing success with Syrah at La Motte in the late ’80s and early ’90s, Jacques Borman planted the Epilogue vineyard in 1996. Jacques had worked with syrah grapes from nearby Reyneke Wines, in his previous cellar. This opened his eyes to the potential of the area.
It is planted with the rare SH99 clone on decomposed granite soils in the Stellenbosch hills.

Replanting
Disease has claimed 8% of these vines. As a result, a new block is being established with a new clone.
Reneen Borman, Jacques’ son, continues to take this wine to new levels and his craftsmanship is honed with each new release.
These wines have become highly sought after and generally sell out on release.
