More rare South African wines from Mullineux and Boekenhoutskloof
Also offered on this site are wines from Mullineux, ranked the Top Performing Winery of 2023.
Andrea and Chris’s track record is astounding. The Platter Wine Guide’s best-performing winery in 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2023. They have almost numberless five-star wines.
In addition, in the wine shop are wines by Cape Winemakers Guild member, Duncan Savage, and assistant Banele Vakele’s Savage Wines.. This winery received the Platter’s South African Wine Guide award for Editor’s Awards Winery of the Year -2023
Duncan Savage is the hardest-working winegrower in South Africa and undoubtedly one of the Cape’s foremost winemakers.
Another winery to receive the Editor’s Awards Winery of the Year – 2020 is Boekenhoutskloof Winery.
Produces quality in large enough quantities to be extremly significant, something rare in SA.

Scarcity of South African Wines
Many of the wines on offer on this website are no longer available at the wine manufacturer. Total production volume per wine plays a role in the availability of a wine. Production of Porseilenberg Syrah used to be tiny before 2016. Since then production has increased significantly. Meerlust Rubicon is a large volume producer. South African rare wines from Boekenhoutskloof, Boschkloof, Kanonkop, Keet, Mullineux are often sold out quickly or are made in small quantities.
Wine Storage of South African rare wines like Boekenhoutskloof, Boschkloof, Kanonkop, and Mullineux
The wines on this site have been professionally stored. First in the specialised, temperature-controlled cellars of the wine producers. The wines are currently stored in Wine Cellar, Observatory, Cape Town. These wines are thus in peak condition. The ratings of these wines are all above 90 out of 100 points.

I trained at the Cape Wine Academy as well as completing a Stellenbosch University short wine evaluation course. I worked in the wine tourism industry for three years. As a result, I developed an appreciation of the outstanding quality of South African wines. – Glenda Van Blerk
